Sound

A woody, full sounding piano, with a rich underlying tone. Some bass notes lacking the strength or decay of longer strings. However, for the size, this period of Japanese pianos are rewarding to play.

Even touch, with some extra weight in the bass, may be due to lack of playing.

An elegant, small upright. Which in the US would be labeled a ‘console’ piano. Complete with matching bench.

Flanges of this period most always need changing. As the loop has decomposed. This is a relatively normal job for most small workshops or larger stores. The lack of some flanges causing double bouncing.

In line with similar small Japanese made Yamaha’s from the mid 70s to mid 80s, this piano has a rich tone, and even touch. It is easy to immerse yourself in for hours on end.
